Biomass pellet machine is a special equipment that compresses agricultural and forestry wastes (such as sawdust, straw, sawdust, rice husk, etc.) into high-density, regular-shaped biomass fuel pellets. These particles can be used as a clean energy alternative to coal, diesel or natural gas, and are widely used in heating, power generation, industrial boilers and other fields.

1. Core functions
Compression molding of raw materials

The loose biomass raw materials are extruded into cylindrical pellets with a diameter of 6-10mm by high temperature and high pressure (50-100MPa), with a density of 1.0-1.4 g/cm³, which is convenient for transportation and storage.

Improve combustion efficiency

The particle structure is dense, the combustion is more sufficient, the calorific value is 3500-4500 kcal/kg (equivalent to low- and medium-quality coal), and the residual ash content is low.

Environmentally friendly disposal of waste

Convert agricultural and forestry wastes such as straw and wood chips into energy, reduce open burning pollution, and realize resource recycling.

Second, the working principle
Raw material pretreatment

The raw materials need to be crushed to 3-5mm, and the moisture content should be controlled at 10%-15% (too high to be dried).

Extrusion

The raw material is fed between the ring die (or flat die) of the pellet machine and the pressure roller, and under the high temperature (70-100°C) generated by high-pressure friction, the lignin is softened and bonded and extruded from the mold hole.

Cut off to cool

The extruded long particles are cut off by the knife, cooled and then hardened and shaped.

3. Main types
Ring die pellet machine

Features: High capacity (1-10 tons/hour), suitable for large-scale production of hardwood pellets, strong durability.

Application: wood, bamboo chips and other hard raw materials.

Flat die pellet machine

Features: simple structure, low investment, suitable for soft raw materials (such as straw, rice husk).

Application: Small farm or experimental line.
