Wood Pellet Production Line
Broad Feedstock Compatibility – Handles wood chips, sawdust, shavings, and offcuts without frequent part changes.
Stable & High-Throughput Production – Ring dies and rollers forged from specialized alloy steel ensure high pelletization rates and jam-free continuous operation.
Long Service Life of Wear-Resistant Parts: Key wear-prone components undergo special heat treatment, extending their service life and reducing maintenance costs.
End-to-End Automation: From grinding and drying to pelletizing, cooling, and packaging, everything is controlled with a single button, minimizing manual intervention.
Overview
A wood pellet production line is a continuous processing system that converts forestry and agricultural residues—such as sawdust, wood chips, shavings, branches, and crop straw—into high-density, uniform pellet fuel through a purely physical compression process. From raw material pretreatment to finished product packaging, the complete line follows a six-stage workflow: crushing → drying → pelletizing → cooling → screening → packaging, achieving efficient raw material conversion and commercial output
Our wood pellet production line can be flexibly scaled to meet the needs of small farms, medium-sized plants, and large-scale industrial pellet mills, backed by over a decade of R&D and manufacturing experience.
What Raw Materials Can Be Processed?
The wood pellet production line demonstrates exceptional feedstock versatility, accommodating a wide spectrum of biomass materials
Forestry Residues
Logs, branches, bark, wood chips, sawdust, wood shavings, furniture scraps, building formwork
Agricultural Residues
Corn stalks, wheat straw, rice straw, sorghum stalks, cotton stalks, peanut husks, rice husks, sunflower seed husks
Other Biomass
Bamboo shavings, bagasse, alfalfa, grass, palm EFB (empty fruit bunches), distillers grains
Whether you’re processing pure hardwood sawdust or blending it with agricultural byproducts, this production line can accommodate different raw material ratios to maximize your operational flexibility.
Complete Production Process – Six Key Stages
Crushing System
Grind large raw materials (logs, branches, and large scraps) into small particles to provide a suitable particle size for subsequent drying and pelletizing.
Drying System
Reduce the moisture content of the material to the optimal range for pelletization to ensure high pellet formation rates and quality
Pelletizing System
A high-pressure roller presses the prepared wood flour into the ring die, enabling pure physical pelletization without additives and achieving a high pelletization rate.
Core Technology
Ring die & rollers forged from premium alloy steel with advanced heat treatment for extended service life-
Heavy-duty main shaft transmission design for long-term continuous operation
Cooling System
Immediately cools hot pellets exiting the pelletizer to near ambient temperature, preventing softening and breakage, increasing hardness and storage stability
Screening System
Removes powder and debris from cooled pellets, ensuring consistent finished product appearance; screened powder can be recycled for re-pelletizing to avoid waste
Packaging System
Automatic weighing, bagging, and sealing for improved shipping efficiency; suitable for commercial operations
